The Scene
Set just steps away from the University of Utah campus, the Pie has long been a favorite late-night spot for hungry college students. Dark and loud, with graffiti scrawled on the walls, this is not a destination for scene-seekers: It's a place to unwind, listen to tunes on the jukebox, eat a little pizza and drink a lot of beer.
The Food
While pies are available with thin or deep-dish crusts, the chewy hand-tossed base is the preferred canvas for most. Heavy with toppings and slathered in zingy sauce, the Stromboli (pepperoni, sausage, green peppers and onions) is a longtime favorite. The vegetarian, topped with tomato slices after it's cooked, is the pie of choice for non-meat eaters. The chef salad is fun, but far from diet food--it's made from pizza ingredients (ham, onions, peppers, olives, mushrooms, mozzarella and tomatoes), all mixed together and served with dressing on the side.

I've visited The Pie in Salt Lake several times, and each time I leave I feel slightly sick from the amount of grease consumed. They put far too much cheese on each pizza and the sauce has a slightly chemical taste. HOWEVER, the pull aparts are great and it's a good place to get a beer and just chill.

I love the cheese pull aparts they are so yummy and the pizza is the best in Salt Lake. Big portions and moderate priced. Attomsphere is fun and great location. Would recommend stoping by or getting delivered either way you can not go wrong!!!
